Could you please explain your decision from a non-professional point of view, so that people who do not sail can also understand it? What are possible future solutions?

Nandor Fa:

“At the moment we are staying here in New York, in the North Cove Marina. The fleet is already gone, they are sailing. We started with them, but we had to return because the boat was not prepared. During the delivery trip from Trieste to here, which was a month of sailing on the ocean and sometimes in very hard conditions, especially in upwind. We have those kind of technical problems, which escalated in the meantime, becuase we couldn’t solve them. So now we have those kind of technical issues, which we cannot solve here without workshop possibilities. There is almost nothing here, only restaurants. Now the question is: we are sailing up to New Port, where there are very good conditions, good tradesmen, and some good technical posiibilities, or I am sailing home and solve the problems at home. There we know the circumstances very well, and we can do anything we need to do. One thing is for sure: at the moment, the boat is not good enough for racing.”
