One Planet and We are water back to Mediterranean

One Planet One Ocean & Pharmaton has passed the latitude of Tarifa (5°37°W) and entered the Mediterranean Sea at 18h25 UTC (20h25 BCN). The fourth team to cross back into the Med, Aleix Gelabert and Didac Costa arrive back in their home waters 95 days, 6 hours and 25 minutes after leaving Barcelona on December 31, 2014.

We Are Water crossed the longitude of Gibraltar today, Monday April 6th at 0414UTC, after 95 days, 16 hours and 14 minutes of racing. At this morning’s 0400 position update they were 56.8 miles behind One Planet One Ocean & Pharmaton, and sailing at 9.4 knots to the fourth placed boat’s 8.7 knots in moderate easterlies.

Reanult Captur in sixth are now less than 2,000 miles from the finish and back up to double figure boat speeds as they reach the stronger north-easterly trade winds. Some 1,200 miles behind, around 450 miles south-west of the Cape Verde islands, Spirit of Hungary are also making 10 knots to the north.
